rap innovation

its seems to me alot of rappers like to call certain innovations of the art wack. for no other reason than its wack or playedout. most of the time its any version of a record with autotunes on it. i agree auto tunes can be wack if its just slaped on songs. but if you use auto tunes as a instrument and not a cover up for lack of skill you can make a pretty hot record. i think tho most of it is guys afraid or intimidated in working the tool cus all they know is rhyming words they dont get innovation.
if tvs never were innovated we wouldnt have plasma its the same picture just redefined. tube tvs still work there are even hd tubes but the flat plasma just adds something else. dont be like the old ppl afraid to use plasma screens cus they like the old tv better just get with it.
i played with auto tunes but never to over do the record just to add a spice. im fans of tpain flo rida b.o.b. i like to hear new shit and i like old hard rapping but its a lane. i can take I45south or I35 south to get home either way ima get there ya dig!!
so you rapp dudes stop being critics to shit you cant do and try it it may or may not work but you can say shiiiii i tried that shit it aint me. dont limit ya self or you will be in the break down lane going no where

im out hipside blog new record drops tomarrow!!!!

Its All about Networking!!!

I use to really believe in this as an artist but this is my first time writing about it or openly talking about it . yesterday i met a cat who i thought was really cold at the beats and shit . so i chopped it up with him to a point where he asked for my info which i then directed him to my email and blog!

fore somreason i have issues with being on a list.

to my fellow artist why do you think its important to have all these ppl numbers in your phone.it always seem like i talk to someone and i mention an artist name and he like i got his ppl number or i got so and so number. to me its like whatever half or more than half its not like you chopping it up with the cat on the reggie so why even log it in ??? oh thats right its for the just in case but when just in case comes you find out he deleted or gave you the wrong number. I usually do not collect industry numbers unless i plan on chopping it up with this person.

who even came up with networking is key??? what hypocrisy to say especially when most new rappers get "discovered". The industry tells you so and so was found cutting hair and his homebo talked to (insert someone with power here). Players will say its all about who you know network and spend money......hmmmmmm spend money he says.

If you go online every one is selling service that will get you heard by 1000 of movers in the industry or give you advice or get you on a mixtape or get you on a website or ....... you get my drift.Thats the difference from being in the music busniess and being in the business in making music. so i say fuck making connects!! how bout work and talk to ppl who you feel mutually respect the game the music and the fans just like you. i would rather have a conversation with a nigga like Saigon who has a love for this game but hasnt got that big big break to make the music he wants on a national stage than a nigga like Jim Jones who arguably had his biggest year last year with Fly High and saw good indie money and now feels like somehow he is great. thats no diss to jim jones but when a nigga conversation is more about money than give good music then i really dont want to talk. I feel like i am in a pretty good position and i could be a dick to alot of rappers or my emails and be like i dont want to talk toyou guys . Thats not me i have conversations i tell niggas hey let me sit in on ya session maybe i can give youadvice or help blah blah niggas is hungry and ima help them eat.

another side note maybe story. whats funny to me is when you bloggers nad forum net nerds tell new rappers or aspiring artist they rapping about the same shit other rappers rap and they sound like every other rappper. NO SHIT !!! Thats not even a insult you dont like a rapper cus he sound like a rapper????? YOU DUMB FUCK! oh i get it you want you rapper to sound like .... well i dont know what you want him to sound like and say. HEY GUYSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS no one is gonna say anything new it has all been covered . lets make a list
1 bitches
2 struggle in the street
3 hustling
4 im rich and you not
5 im better than you
6 my nigga is dead
7 the government dont give a fuck
8 fuck the law
9 wheels spinning nigga they spinning
10 its hard for our sisters
11 didnt no body die
12 the club is packed
13 i want to fuck something
14 Lord help us
15 ima kill somebody
16 ode to brother lynch ...eatting babys
17 (ill let yall finish)

now someone please tell me something thats left to talk or rap about after you finish the list.

now here is my gripe with niggas like vic rocko shawty lo and others how about you guys pick up the temp and say something . you can say nothing and still say something. lets get a real flow that goes somewhere ...okay heres a story last week i talked to a cat after hearing hsi shit and he was spitting some lame same crak and dope shit . i wanted to rip him because i knwo he odnt know shit bout dope but thats his topic but he stop and we chat and he is like man the game is so fucked up right now i cant stand when niggas say they the best its like disrespectful. im sitting in awe like i knwo he just didnt say that after talking about dope nad crack and shit. id rather hear niggas talk about being better than me to inspire me to be that great than a nigga talking about dope and cocaine inspiring young dope dealers. thats the point i learned that now its the in thing to say the game is fucked up. it use to be in to say hiphop is dead now it dont matter who you are you can say the game is fucked up as you download another cd from the net and wont no one disagree with you .

fuckouttahere!!!

ill do a video today later
Da show 2 Friday or saturday !!

Update!!!!

ight lets see ..... still waiting for the units to turn around but till then im tring to collect information and spots to hit up with the product.

dont even ask about the listening party just like much of this project progress its kinda revealing things to me so ima leave it like that but that dont stop the DA SHOW !!!!

I let the homie PKT who might i add just jump into a major situation so congrats to him for that, he has heard the project and is loving it and much how i feel think its gonna push me several notches in Dallas but i still feel its the best fugit. I am also filming a video drop for IAP-TV.com i am doing a little promo spot there for the project thank you 29 for putting me together on that front.
here is a record from da show 2 that didnt make the cut there for its still mixed a little off but fuck it might as well put it out than leave it sitting i played with the nelly record on that one
In My Face-Natureboy.mp3 - natureboy rowe

shouts to superproducer in the making from olathe ks scotty wu! i cut a record with him and big trouble thats prettty smoking ill post it tomarrow cus he say he emailed it and i dont feel like checking. Ill be back on working on party 2 pad in a week ima do the photo shoot i nthe morning for the artwork. i want to be sexy and grownup with it so watch me in the button down !!ok enough of me

yall go get that young jeezy! he suprised me a be talking about politics and shit but im a jeezy fan i think he is underrated because he dont have a crazy lyric or flow game but he has this ability to really thug motivate and recession is a really good effort i think i fucks with and i keep spinning the anthony hamilton record and of course black president.

till tomarrow im out
its almost showtime ppl go get ya tickets and seats

SOme Appreiciation <<< f a spell check!

ok artwork for da show is sent off pressing has been done few days and we gonna be flying! meanwhile since the listening party got pushed back here is my latest and one of my favorite mixtapes Stackz Its Nothing!!! oh with bonus cuts here is a review lucky did of the project and below are osme links to download with!

“Stackz: It’s Nothing”. Here goes my review!! Really lookin’ forward!!!! Start Time: 9:47 PM | Video Game Playing: Monopoly (for Super Nintendo) (on my computer)

01. “Stackz: It’s Nothing”
Looks like there’s also 26 tracks on this joint too. Let’s see iz this gonna be an intro, song, or both? Lemme find out right now! >>> Yeah “tha winner iz Rowe!” Nice that it’s on this beat (“Roc Boys (And The Winner Is…)”). I like tha “global warming” line. Yeah I like when you say “it’s NOTHING!” My Rating: 4.0

02. “Get Mo”
*Loses some anticipation* Oh no more of tha classics…? I thought this was gonna be all brand new… But w/e, this joint was/iz a HOT one! I finna copy/paste my review from “Texas Sensation” when I reviewed it on there: Yeah this was that anthem right there!! Glad u included it onto this mixtape! That hook iz SO OFF THA CHAIN!! – I love that “masturbating trunk” line; it’s so funny, yet so good, lol – Definitely an anthem that I still really feel. Oh yeah looks like there’s no mixing. I guess that’s good ‘cause it’s different on your part when it comes to tha mixtapes. My Current Rating: 4.8
^ Once again, tha shit was typed like that ‘cause I reviewed that on my labtop when my labtop’s period button was fuckin’ up, so I couldn’t use it.

03. “Haterz (Remix)” Feat. Wes Fif & B.O.B.
Phew a newbie. Lookin’ forward to hearin’ what/where Natureboy Rowe comes in on this hot joint! Can’t believe all my sources ignored this song last year. That caused it to miss my Top 777 Songs of 2007 countdown! >>> Wow we’re only on Song No. 3, and I can already plant houses and hotels on my property in Monopoly! I always loved that trance “My Love” type of beat for this song. I thought that was somethin’ different and real cool. Good thing for this remix. Instead of replacing someone’s verse, your verse was added at tha end! Oh real nice so far Natureboy! Soundin’ like T.I. wit tha fast flow on this! Makes tha song sound a lot better! REAL good job Natureboy! My Rating: 4.3 <- This song went from like a 3.9 originally to a 4.0, and now a 4.3 thanx to you! Break: 10:04 PM. Gotta call my boy Jimmy The DJ and see what’s good… >>> Wow we had a real good conversation, clocking at 27 minutes, 2 seconds!!

04. “It’s Nothing” Feat. All-Star
Iz this All-Star tha Cash Money prince? If yes or no, I got a High AL for this joint right’chea! >>> You used this beat again, lol? Oh wait never mind this was tha “Bonus Track 2” from tha “Dallas Hottest Commodity 1.7” mixtape. And I guess I know now: that’s All-Star (Cash Money) on tha hook (wit that great sample w/e it iz). And straight from my review from that mixtape: Tha “konvict” intro thing scared me almost. I didn’t know what to expect. It’s tha 9mm beat. Hook sounds pretty good (it sounds like somethin’ else – oh that “ass” song by T.I. & Wyclef Jean “You Know What It Is”). There was a nice sample during tha hook too. Sounded good. My Rating: 3.8

05. “Something Like It (Get Wit It)”
This was a comeback song for me from Natureboy Rowe when it came to tha Fall of ’07. It was pretty good, even tho I heard better King Stunna productions. I made my 63 year old grandma rap to it (tha hook, which iz on Youtube right now titled “My 63 Year Old Grandma Rappin’ To 6 Songs”). This joint landed at No. 399 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 countdown wit 33 spins wit me in 2007. You gave me tha clean/short version. Iz this one gonna be tha same, or iz it gonna be tha dirty/long club version that you said you was makin’? I bet’cha it’s tha short one… >>> It iz tha short one (and clean still). Oh yeah in Monopoly, I had to name my character, so since I was reviewin’ this mixtape right now, I named him “Rowe”. I liked this ‘cause it was a lil’ faster than tha usual Natureboy songs (it’s 95 BPM). My Current Rating: 4.0

06. “Not Lock Down” Feat. TREAL
Let’s see this one. I feel all hot right now, and somewhat hungry. Hopefully I don’t catch a tension headache doin’ this mixtape review… Fuck it, I’m such a skinny thing… I don’t see anything to eat. Plus, I don’t wanna eat anything and have to type (meaning I would get my keyboard dirty). >>> Kinda odd/slow start… Tha hook sounds different and smooth. Tha whole song sounds too smooth for me. I almost wanna give it a <3.0>>> Nice beat. Real nice line wit tha “powerline wire” <- . That’s a REAL NICE hook/sample on tha hook! Yup this another great joint right there! My Rating: 4.3 09. “Keep It Rocking” This one again. Back to tha clean version I see… “Str8” from tha “Texas Sensation” review: Was really feelin’ it when I first heard it on Dirty South Radio, but after a few weeks it sizzled down for me, and I kinda am avoiding this song now wit playing it ‘cause it reminds me a lil’ of that shitty-ass-gay 2nd semester I had at college (mainly during tha end of March & April), but either way, “Keep It Rocking” iz that joint – Of course, King Stunna iz a beast on tha beats – I always thought you put a lot of effort into this song ‘cause it sounds great how u made it – I always really liked that bridge part “loooooooook at meeeeeeeeeeee, I’m 100 from my headdddd to my feeeeeeeeeet…” that whole part was, and still iz tha shit. This tha first song I’m reviewing (even tho I reviewed it already) wit my door open (I usually have it closed). BTW, when I wrote that from “Texas Sensation” review, I thought I had a bad 2nd semester, but I didn’t. That semester at least had hangouts unlike tha REAL shitty-ass 3rd semester! NO hangouts pretty much during that gay semester! Also, this landed at No. 294 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 wit 61 spins wit me in 2007. My Current Rating: 4.3 10. “I Get Money” Even tho a newbie to me, iz this over tha 50 Cent beat??? >>> *Sarcastic voice* *DING DING DING* And as Pink would say, “who knew”, lol. Like that line “I’m so Wu-Tang, I got method, man.” @ that “Straight To The Bank” rendition. At least it was a lot better than 50’s! You don’t like Nick Cannon, lol? That was a random callout. Lol @ tha “Dallas Texas love” (singin’) at tha end! I liked that. My Rating: 3.9

11. “Diddy Rock (Remix)” Feat. Diddy, Twista & Shawnna
This again? Lol… It made me crack a smile. This looks a lil’ longer. Str8 from tha “Dallas Hottest Commodity” review: Lol @ tha Diddy… Nice fast beat and fast flow – I like tha “side 2 side” line – That was nice. I like it a lil’ better since tha “Texas Sensation” review. Oh nice Twista part, including when tha beat got slower. Shawnna doin’ her thang on this. My Current Rating: 3.9

12. “I Kill Bars”
Yeah you got some tight-ass bars Natureboy! You be doin’ tha damn thang! I wanna see now how you express it in a title/song! High AL!! >>> Short one… Yeah you “King Kong boy, hangin’ out tha window!” <- Nice line! Pretty good freestyle! Feelin’ it! My Rating: 3.8 13. “Go Live” Cool this one iz on another mixtape. Lol @ tha shortened length: 3:38? Mines iz close to 4:20. Somewhat taken from tha “Texas Sensation” review (since this iz now tha dirty version): This iz that club banger right there – It has “club” written all over it! Yeah it’s still got that quality sound. It landed at No. 181 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 and got 77 spins wit me in 2007. My Current Rating: 4.3 ½ time: Yeah nice so far (of course). Pretty good classics, as I heard a bunch of them a ton of times. Hopefully there’s more new jointz on this, and since you threw in a bunch of tha classics, you BETTA have threw in that “Standing Ovation” joint! Hope that’s coming up soon! 14. “My Wheels Clean” My “Dallas Hottest Commodity 1.7” review says it all: Yeah this another one from tha otha mixtape, but definitely still hot. It was No. 50 on my Top 777 of 2007 year end countdown, and was a *CERTIFIED CLASSIC* wit 139 spins wit me in 2007. Definitely a banger, and one of tha biggest Lackawanna College urban anthems of mine of tha 2nd semester. It goes to show you you can make a banger even when you have a cold (which you told me you had a cold when you made this). My Current Rating: 4.5 15. “Bang” Aight new joint hopefully. Let’s see it! >>> It has a real nice intro and beat. What’s wit these songs? They keep gettin’ shorter and shorter! 2:06 iz real short for somethin’ that sounds real hot like this! Yeah nice verse, and that’s a real hot hook. My Rating: 4.3

16. “Dippin’ In Da Lac” Feat. Big Tuck & Paul Wall
I always have faith in tha No. 16 song on ANY CD/mixtape. Looks like you did a nice “added verse” to tha song wit Big Tuck & Paul Wall in it (which I never heard yet). Let’s see how this gon sound out to be! High AL!! >>> Big Tuck did a good job. Tha hook sounds pretty good. Definitely feelin’ it. That beat iz tight! I liked Paul Wall’s part, but Big Tuck’s was a lot better. Your verse was real good. Really liked it. This joint gon have a real nice rating from me! My Rating: 4.6

17. “Days Like This”
3 new jointz in a row! That’s watz good! This one I predict’ll be more different. Prolly smooth like that one joint wit TREAL. >>> Tha hook sounds nice. Too bad this iz 1:53. How short. Too short, but sounded good for somethin’ different. My Rating: 3.7

18. “My Cologne”
Okay another new one for me!! Title might make me feel anticipated for it for some reason, so yeah, High AL for this. Hope it sounds good AND AT LEAST 3 MINUTES!! >>> Tha songs just keep gettin’ shorter. 1:34. Really good beat. Lol tha hook iz funny to me, but yeah, capturing tha ladies fa’real! Are all these short songs supposed to be just samples? That’s what I’m guessin’. I fuckin’ love that beat! For some reason it reminds me of Aladian, a genie, and a desert! My Rating: 4.5

19. “One Take”
Yes another one!! >>> Okay a lil’ better length, 2:40. Yeah you’re “nothin’ like a bubble; no nigga gon pop” you. This joint was aight. I don’t even think it had a hook. Not bad. My Rating: 3.5

20. “I Need My Money”
I was just thinkin’ ‘bout this joint and “Who Knows” ‘cause I never reviewed them yet. This one landed at No. 489 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 wit 32 spins wit me in 2007. I think it was on my playlist for 16 weeks, but most of tha times it received low spins (a.k.a. it was a “SPIKE” on my playlist) due to a ton of Natureboy songs were on my playlist already, and this one was tha one I played tha least at tha time, and was a lil’ unsure about over-playing it. It looks like you re-recorded this ‘cause in tha beginning, when you say “they callin’ me,” it sounds like you said it longer or somethin’. Tha beat was smooth on this, but compared to tha bunch of songs by you that were on my playlist during tha Spring of 2007 (real good times), this was tha one that was more on tha lower end of things (I explained earlier). And it looks like you did somethin’ to that ending also. You shouted out King Stunna. My Current Rating: 3.8

21. “Hood Nigga”
Doin’ it Zoe style? >>> Yup, and I like how it was a :00 second intro! Soundin’ good already! You did yo thang, but who’s tha 4 rappers after you? I like tha 3rd dude’s line “you can call me Lion King ‘cause I’m Coota Matata.” (sp?) I like how this one was consistant. My Rating: 3.7

22. “Gotta Get It”
This was tha 1st urban joint I played during tha 3rd semester at my college. This one blew up on my Top 10 Countdown after I heard my shout out that you gave me on tha “Texas Sensation” mixtape. This joint had a nice production and nice rhymes. It landed at No. 168 on my Top 777 Songs of 2007 and got 63 spins wit me in 2007. My Current Rating: 4.3

23. “That Price”
Nature”boy” you love this song! On another mixtape! Here’s my review from tha “Dallas Hottest Commodity” review: I feel bad for this song ‘cause it didn’t get 100 spins in 2007 wit me. It got 99. Really, that’s being shy of being a *CERTIFIED CLASSIC* wit me when it comes to my year end countdown, but because tha 100th spin came from when I played it on my year end countdown, it’s pretty much a *CERTIFIED CLASSIC*, so thumbs up to this hot joint. My best friend loved it (I already told you that a while ago). Nice 2nd semester/Summer ’07 flashback for me (those were good times when I didn’t think they really were)! Tha thing that really makes tha song good iz tha “dun-da-da-dund-un” in tha hook! I love that, and that caught my attention in a real good way when I first heard it! Once again, this was No. 90 on my Top 777 of 2007 year end countdown. Also finally realized this beat was from Gucci Mane “That’s All”. My Current Rating: 4.6

24. Southpaw “Knockin’ Doorz Down”
Oh this… How odd that this iz at tha end… Taken from tha “Texas Sensation” review (originally titled “Introducing Southpaw”): I never heard Southpaw before (I know they ur buddies), so if this a song, then I wanna hear it – If it’s a skit, then I wanna hear it also >>> They sound pretty good – Not bad lil’ “Knockin’ Doorz Down” version of their’s. My Current Rating: 3.6

25. “Guard It” (Bonus)
Was this tha “Bonus Track 1” from tha last mixtape? >>> Naw it’s not. Another new joint this iz. Beat sounds like a different/cool version of “Get Mo”. I like that beginning that it sounds like it’s comin’ str8 from tha phone. Yeah Mr. “U.P.S.”. I hope you “U.P.S.” me and come to my door one day. My Rating: 3.8

26. “Outro”
Okay before I look at tha title, we’re on tha last one. It BETTER be “Standing Ovation” or somethin’ new, or an outro……………… *Checks title* Okay it’s tha outro. I always look forward to your skits/intros/outros. High AL! >>> It was 4 seconds long!! I liked it, but damn, 4 seconds?!? My Rating: N/A

Overall: End Time: 12:21 AM. Yeah great mixtape, good new jointz, but too many classics again. “Standing Ovation” should’ve been on this one. That was my favorite song I neva heard from tha “Dallas Hottest Commodity 1.7” mixtape.

what da fuck are they talking bout??

Alright Stop! Collaborate and listen!
Damn after acts like soulja boy is Vanilla Ice really wack? Really I bet most of the people that talk shit bout Ice can finish a lot of the lines to "Ice Ice Baby".

Flo-Rida has a song with Timbaland Called Elevator. I personally think it's hot but I was reading reviews fro the record online and one guys says "elevators??? Has rappers ran out of shit to talk about it?" I was a little torn by the statement. On one hand, are we running out of stuff to say or is "Elevator" an innovative approach to a standard topic? I don't think there are any new topics you just have to find another better way to say the same shit I.E. Yo momma so fat …

Britney Spears…. To me it seems someone is a mastermind and nothing is wrong with her and her and K-fed are just fuckign with people. I am disturbed of how white America will actually say shit like I cant wait till she dies and that the paparazzi is really just waiting for it so they can make money. My problem with the paparazzi is …. Ok I sit outside the house of a woman and take pictures of her while she didn't know or followed her around town what do you call that??? I thought stalking was illegal I guess that is only if you not getting paid to.

Ok back to hip-hop.

Is sounding dumb cool? Or Street? I listen to interviews with Shawty Lo and Plies recently and I don't know why these guys are getting away with being in an influential position and almost sound like they are going out the way to sound as if they didn't at least go to high school. I understand image. They hustle, they from the block, and they are street guys. So! There are many guys out there who had the same or worst upbringing and they have coherent speech. How is it I understand you perfectly fine on your song and not at all in interviews? The worst of it is im around some rappers who actually talk well until that little rapper mask comes on and its all fake. What part of the game is that? I think its time that these (including you) inspiring rappers understand that conversation rules the nation and you don't want to be the artist never invited to the meeting about your career because frankly you think you must impress a suit with the "image" As Rowdy as Pacman Jones is you get good sentence out of him. 50 Cent was shot in the mouth and he speaks well to the public. Big Boi is a very articulate person. See where I'm going. Name a single person at the top of this rap game who you just can not ever figure out what he is saying.

I got the flu right now so I will end there.
